Now Hiring DSP,CNA's, PCA's (Chesterfield, Va)

LFC is now hiring DSPs to work in its group home with individual's with intellectual disabilities. DSPs provide support to individuals in their day-to-day living in the home and in the community. DSPs assures that the Health and Safety of individuals is maintained and monitor for any changes in health status. DSP's communicate positively and professionally with individuals and their families. DSP's will maintain all required documentation of work performed and outcomes completed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assure that all outcomes are completed for each individual and described in the Individual's Person Centered Plan. Provide support with ADL's as needed, such as but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, changing soiled briefs, shaving, brushing teeth, and grooming. Provide adequate nutrition by preparing and serving healthy meals and assisting with feeding as necessary. Maintain a clean and sanitary home environment by regularly sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning sinks, toilets, countertops and all other areas of the home. Provide assistance, including total assistance if needed, to individuals with domestic duties, such as laundry, making beds, and maintaining bedrooms clean and orderly. Coordinate and maintain personal schedule of individuals by providing transportation to all appointments (ex. medical, work, day support, etc.) Create and maintain professional relationships with individuals, their families, support coordinators, staff members, and all other service providers.
Document all work performed and outcomes completed according to licensing and company standards. Monitor individuals served for any changes in health status, such as but not limited to fatigue, lethargy, changes in appetite, rapid weight gain or loss, and any other significant changes. Notify your supervisor immediately of any changes. Assist Individuals with taking medications according to the "5 rights" of medication management

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or current CNA/PCA
certification.
Flexible
Valid Drivers License with good record
Dependable Transportation
Mandt
CPR/First Aid
Virginia Medication Aide Certified preferred but willing to train

Hours available:
2pm-10pm (Mon, Wed, Fri & every other weekend)
Overnight Rotating Days and Hours which vary between 10pm-8:30am and 6pm-8:30am
